Zhao'an Wan (Chao an Wan) (23°37'N., 117°17'E.), entered between Zhaoan Tou and Gangkou Tou, about 5 miles WNW, affords good shelter during the Southwest Monsoon, but in the Northeast Monsoon a short, steep sea arises when the wind is strong and makes the anchorage uncomfortable. The bottom is soft mud and the holding ground is bad.
