TAVSAN ADALARI

Tavsan Adalari (39°56'N., 26°04'E.), lying 3 miles off the mainland coast, is the largest of Karayer Adalari, a group of islets, rocks and shoals. This islet is 42m high and cliffy at its W end. A light is shown from the W end of the islet and a cairn is situated on the cliffs at the SE side. A wreck, with a least depth of 5.5m, lies about 1.6 miles NNW of the light and is the N and outer danger in this vicinity. Small vessels with local knowledge frequent the passage leading E of this group.
