SOMBRERO PASSAGE

Sombrero (18°36'N., 63°25'W.), an island with precipitous sides, lies on a small circular bank with general depths of 18.5 to 67.0m. The surface of the island is rough and rises in sharp jagged points. Vegetation is sparse, but there is abundant bird life on the island. Radio contact is maintainedwith Anguilla.
