Inishlyre Harbour, on the E side of Inishlyre, is entered through a narrow channel between that island and Collan More to the NE. A 1.5m shoal in the middle of the entrance almost equally divides the harbor. The best anchorage lies in the E part of the harbor, in 6.1m, with the S extremity of Rosmoney Hill (5349'N., 937'W.) bearing 114 and the SE extremity of Collan More bearing 043. Vessels of too great a draft to proceed to Westport Quay usually discharge their cargo here.
