RIVER SAN BARTHOLOMEO

The River San Bartholomeo (4°20'N., 6°43'E.) lies 7 miles E of the River Santa Barbara and is separated from it by asandy plain, 0.3 mile wide, which is interspersed with several shallow lagoons. The entrance points of the river are bold, being covered with tall trees. A shallow bar extends up to 3.5 miles S of the mouth.
