RIO DE LAS PIEDRAS

The Rio de Las Piedras (37°12'N., 7°05'W.) flows into the sea 12 miles E of the Ria de La Hiquerita. The coast between consists of a sandy beach backed by low, bare hills. A prom inent tower stands on a reddish hill, 6.5 miles ENE of Punta del Caiman.
