PUNTA ARENITAS

Punta Arenitas (8°32'N., 83°17'W.), lying 9 miles N of Cabo Matapalo, is a low, sandy point bordered by shoal depths on its NE side. The village of Puerto Jiminez (San Domingo) stands on the inshore side of the point. The houses are partially obscured by trees and difficult to distinguish.
