Presqu'ile de Saint Mandrier (43°05'N., 5°56'E.), located 3 miles NE of Cap Sicie, is a peninsula which extends 2.5 miles E from the coast. It is joined to the mainland by a low neck of land on which stands a large and prominent hotel. The buildings of the city of Toulon can be seen across this low neck from seaward.
