Plumper Sound (48°47'N., 123°13'W.) is entered from Haro Strait between South Pender Island and Saturna Island. It leads NW into Navy Channel and the approach to Active Pass. The sound has a least depth of 21.9m in the fairway and is clear of dangers. Rocky patches lying close to the shore are often marked by kelp.
