Metlakatla Bay (54°19'N., 130°29'W.) is entered between Straith Point, the NW extremity of Digby Island, and Tugwell Island (54°20'N., 130°30'W.). This bay is protected from the W by Tugwell Island and a sandy ridge, which dries 3m. This ridge connects Tugwell Island with Observation Point (54°20'N., 130°28'W.).
