Fukuoka Wan is entered between Nishiura Saki (33°40'N., 130°13'E.) and Myojin Hana, the NW extremity of Shikano Shima. The entrance is divided into three channels by a number of islands and dangers, but only the easternmost is recommended for ocean-going vessels.
