Niihama Ko is a specified harbor located near the middle of the S shore of Hiuchi Nada. The harbor is divided into Niihama Ku and Takihama Ku. Takahama Ku (Takahama Ko), the E part, is a timber harbor; Niihama Ku, the W part, is divided into Sections I to IV. The city of Niihama is a major industrial city, from metal and chemical industries, and mining.
