Mys Datta (49°18'N., 140°26'E.), a precipitous headland, the slopes of which are thickly covered with grass, juts sharply to the SE and forms a conspicuous landmark. Farther inland the terrain becomes more wooded and the coastal chain attains a maximum height of 451m in a conspicuous rounded summit about 6 miles WNW of the point.
