Mikonos (37°27'N., 25°20'E.), a resort town, stands on the W side of the island and is fronted by a small harborprotected by breakwaters. It is approached between Akra Tourlos, located 1.2 miles S of Akra Armenistis, and Nisis
Ayios Georgios, an islet lying close N of the N extremity of a peninsula extending from the SW side of Nisos Mikonos. A small islet and several shallow shoals lie up to about 0.4 mile NW and W of Nisis Ayios Georgios and should be given a wide berth.
