Maricourt (Wakeham) (61°36'N., 71°57'W.) (World Port Index No. 1190) is a small settlement situated on the E side of the inlet, 6.5 miles inside the entrance on the sandy shore of a bight. There is a private radio station at the Roman Catholic Mission in the settlement.
