Malongo Oil and Gas Field (5°24'S., 12°04'E.) lies between Ponta de Malembo and Ponta de Tafe, 15 miles S. This field extends up to 13 miles offshore and may best be seen on the chart. It consists of Malongo North Field, Malongo South Field, Malongo West Field, Limba Field, Lifuma Field, and Kungulo Field. Platform Juliet (5°25'S., 11°59'E.), which is situated 12.5 miles W of Malongo, is equipped with a racon and a prominent flare burns on a platform standing close W of it. Vuko Oil Field (5°23'S., 11°57'E.) lies centered 15 miles W of Malongo and 3 miles NW of Platform Juliet. Kali Oil Field (5°34'S., 11°59'E.) lies centered 16 miles SW of Malongo and 9 miles S of Platform Juliet. Caution.Numerous production platforms, well heads, submarine pipelines, and flares exist within the above fields, some of which may be unlit or not charted. A restricted area, which may best be seen on the chart, encloses the Malongo Oil and Gas Field. Vessels not proceeding to or from the facilities or terminals are prohibited from en tering this area without prior permission.
