Macquarie Harbor (42°13'S., 145°14'E.) is an extensive sheet of water trending from its entrance 19 miles SE, and is from 2 to 4 miles wide, with regular depths within the entrance ranging from 9.1 to 36.6m. It is the second largest harbor in the southern hemisphere after Sydney
