Lewis Island (48°57'N., 53°47'W.) has a remarkable steep hill near the middle of its S side, with conspicuous boulders on its summit. The island is separated from the mainland SW by Trinity Gut (48°47'N., 53°49'W.), at least 0.2 mile wide, with a fairway clear of dangers and depths of 12.8 to 21.9m in mid channel.
