Southeast and northeast sides of Yaku Shima. Between Kuro Saki (30°14'N., 130°27'E.) and Komori Bana (30°18'N., 130°39'E.) the coast is bold, with the land rising abruptly from the sea to heights of at least 30m, and then sloping back less steeply to the mountain ranges; most of these more gentle slopes are cultivated.
