A depth of 14.5m in the center of the channel is marked by a (isolated danger) lighted buoy, 0.75 mile WNW of Soyo Am. A fish haven extends 3 miles S of Soyo Am. Gojeong Hang (Kojong Hang) (36°24'N., 126°29'E.) at the mouth of Ch'onsu Man, is a private coal terminal feeding a power station. A T headed pier lies in a N S direction, where vessels up to 125,000 dwt with a maximum draft of 16.5m can berth at slack water.
