BetweenKannon Zaki (34°19'N., 132°30'E.), the point on the S limits of Hiroshima harbor, and Shibitono Hana, the point on the N limits of Kure harbor, the mainland coast on the E side of the N approach to Kure Ko is backed mostly by hills and mountains, which in places descend steeply to the shoreline.
