ISLA TABOGA

Isla Taboga (8°47'N., 79°33'W.), the largest and highest island of the chain, rises to an elevation of 307m near its center. The village of Taboga stands on the NE side of the island. A conspicuous radio tower, equipped with an aeronautical radiobeacon, and another radar tower are situated midway along the S side of the island. Morro de Taboga, a smaller, high islet, lies on the shorebank which extends 0.5 mile NE from the N part of the island.
