Hughes Rock (10°17'N., 61°30'W.), with a depth of 1.2m, lies 1.8 miles WSW of the head of the pier. Farallon Rock, 4.6m high, lies 0.3 miles SW of the pier. A wooden building and a flagstaff stand on this rock.
