HELMCKEN ISLAND

Helmcken Island (50°24'N., 125°52'W.) lies in the middle of Johnstone Strait. This island is thickly wooded and its shores are rugged and indented, especially on the N side. Billy Goat Bay lies on the N side of the island and is fronted by several islets.
