GRANDFATHER ISLAND

Hamilton Sound (49°30'N., 54°15'W.) is entered from the E between Ladle Point (49°29'N., 54°03'W.) and Grandfather Island (49°32'N., 54°10'W.). A lighted buoy is moored 0.75 mile NE of the island. Vessels with local knowledge can pass through the sound enroute to Notre Dame Bay.
