Freeport Harbour, one of the two major deep water ports in the Bahamas, is a fast developing resort area and bunk ering port. The facility consists of an open roadstead fronting an inner harbor. A large petroleum refinery, fronted by two off shore berthing platforms, lies just SE of the harbor entrance.
