Forrester Island (54°48'N., 133°32'W.), located about 30 miles WNW of Cape Muzon, is a prominent mark for vessels approaching Dixon Entrance from the W or N. This island is wooded and mountainous, the summit, 429m high, rising near the center. Petrel Island, lying 0.5 mile S of Forrester Island, has two wooded summits, which from a distance appear as islands. A small islet lies close N of For rester Island and is marked by a light.
