Duncan's Cove is a small anchorage on Chebucto Head on the approaches to Halifax Harbour. It is reasonably protected from the swells from the Atlantic ocean. We've ducked in here a few times when we wanted to have a relaxing lunch while sailing. There is also a small beach where you can land your tender. Several trails start from here and following them you can walk along Chebucto Head through the old World War II fortifications which defended Halifax Harbour. There is a small "artistic" community here as well with a few studios, but no services.

I'm not sure how good the shelter is in this anchorage in a storm. I've been in here when it is windy and the surrounding landscape acts somewhat as a funnel for the wind.
