CABO MONDEGO
Submitted by admin on Thu, 02/05/2009 - 17:57.
It has been reported that sand banks, which break heavily, are continually forming and disappearing along the 20m curve between Espinho and Cabo Mondego (40°11'N., 8°54'W.). These are caused by the action of the winds and currents; vessels are advised to give this section of coast a berth of at least 3 to 4 miles. Aveiro (40°39'N., 8°44'W.) World Port Index No. 37970
