Baie de Bourgneuf (47°05'N., 2°15'W.) is entered between Pointe de St. Gildas and Pointe de L'Herbaudiere, the NW extremity of Ile de Noirmoutier, located 7 miles SSW. It is generally only frequented by small vessels with local know ledge proceeding to the small ports of Pornic and Noirmoutier.
