Anse Spartel (35°46'N., 5°56'W.), a shallow and sandy bay, is entered 0.8 mile S of Cap Spartel. Small vessels may obtain anchorage, in depths of 10 to 12m, about 0.3 mile off the shore of this bay. It is sheltered from E winds, but heavy squalls blow off the land and a continual swell renders landing difficult.
