AKROTIRI PENINSULA

The Akrotiri Peninsula (34°34'N., 32°59'E.) separates Episkopi Bay from Akrotiri Bay and is the S extremity ofCyprus. A large salt lake lies in the center of this peninsula and the village of Akrotiri is situated at its SW corner. A prominent church stands in the village and can be seen from off both sides of the peninsula.
