Afortunada Oil Complex (40°42'N., 1°20'E.) lies 22 miles E of Cabo Tortosa and consists of a production platform with several lighted buoys and wells in its vicinity. Another platform stands 12 miles NNW of the main complex and a sub marine pipeline extends about 25 miles in a N direction from the main complex to the shore.
