ABINGTON REEF

Abington Reef (18°05'S., 149°37'E.) is nearly awash. The reef is steep to all around at a distance of 1 mile. Malay Reef, 18 miles WNW of Abington Reef, is difficult to see, not clearly defined, and not steep to. There is no discoloration of the water and no line of breakers, which is typical of the reefs in the area. The reef should be given a wide berth at all times. The Coringa Islets
